Upright folio, 33.3 x 24.5 cm, half calf binding, marbled paper over board, printed "Morning Prayer." The first flyleaf is signed "Cass. Elizth Austen" (Jane Austen's sister, Cassandra Elizabeth Austen (1773-1845); see Jenkyns 03). The first flyleaf features a manuscript index to the contents, continuing onto the verso of the leaf, in a different hand than the signature. The first two flyleaves are watermarked 1812.
The volume includes printed editions of solo keyboard and harp music, published between c.1780 and c.1815, with the majority published c.1805-1810.
The title page of item 1 (images 009-042) includes a blue ink stamp, "Chawton House, Alton, Hants." The signature on the title page of item 2 (images 043-081) may be that of Ann Cawley, née Cooper, whose ownership marks appear on Jenkyns 01; see also notes to CHWJA/19/1 and CHJWA/19/5. Item 5 (images 111-149) is signed "Mrs Austen" in the same hand as the flyleaves to Jenkyns 04 and Knight 02. Item 14 (images 215-218) is also signed "Mrs Austen" in a similar hand.
